this stand bag is the best one that i have seen to date. it is very light and comfortable to carry. the padding on the shoulder straps is excellent.

there are more than enough pockets to accomodate all of your needs. one of my favorite features on this bag is the rubber coated grab handle on top of the bag. i use this handle ALOT. it is great for repositioning your bag on uneven surfaces and for loading and unloading into your vehicle.

the stand legs are sturdy and fold away very smooth. i had looked at a few other stand bags(max fli, nike, taylormade, ogio and a couple others)and this one was tops on my list. the price was a little bit higher than i had initially wanted to spend ($[...] at Dicks Sporting Goods) but now im sure glad i paid a little extra for this bag.

last but not least, this bag is the best looking bag that i have seen. if you want a great looking bag loaded with features and lightweight, this is the bag for you.

Great. As a high handicapper, after starting using the Diablo/stiff/10deg, distance is about 220m (+20 from my old driver), and much straighter. My occasional slice is much more manageable. Even misses dont give you OB's.

A great product.

Great feel and sound. When you hit the sweet spot you can really feel it. It's a great driver for beginners. I was using a cheap driver I got for $20 and the diablo is clearly a winner. I consistently hit the back of the net with this driver at the range (250 yd max range) and even very very bad miss-hit still go 200-210!! I'm using a 10' stiff and the ball flight is very nice, not too high like a iron so wind is less of a problem. The ball also goes very straight, i really can't believe that. I used to slice on my old driver and it would fly out, make a sharp right, land around 150 yd and 10 driving range lanes to my right. With this my slice goes 200 yd and lands 2-4 lanes to my right. Not bad, it will save me many balls on the course. I can't wait to go to a longer driving range to see how far this baby really goes!!

I was skeptical of Drivers in general. I am a 13 handicapper who used to trade drivers yearly. My current driver had been in my bag for 3 years, and I thought it was pretty good. I took my 11 year old daughter to the driving range and they had demo days, with no room for us to just practice, so I thought I would show the Callaway rep that his new drivers were no better than the driver I bought 3years ago. I hit my driver 250-260, I can slice or hook with the best of them (probably why my handicap doesnt improve). I hit this driver, Diablo Edge - not the tour edition- and it went 275-285 which was great, but most importantly it went STRAIGHT as an arrow. So I think I'm just on today and grab my old driver.... Same old pattern. 250 left 235 right, and no control over which was coming. Back to the Diablo- it's flying straight and long again. I tried the other drivers.... The diablo edge tour edition (not as good for me), the latest Taylor mades, Cobras, etc. For me, this driver was head and shoulders above the others. It has played that way on the course, too. I couldn't be happier with a driver than this one.

This is my first experiance with "unbreakable" tees. I saw them and figured what the heck. Well, for one they were a littel expensive, but when I got them they seemed to be made pretty well and I was excited to give em a shot. I thought it might effect ball flight or feel but it didnt. However, one of the long ones broke on the 4th hole of the first round I played them. I didnt break another one the rest of the round. I played the long ones on par 4s and 5s (driver and woods) and the short ones on par 3s (irons). All in all I would suggest giving them a shot, It's nice only having to carry a couple tees in my pocket instead of a handfull.

I've been on the hunt for a very light golf bag that I can take on short courses.

In my quest, I looked at pencil bags, sunday bags etc....and I had two big issues with them:

1) they don't stand
2) they're too small

In my research I came across this bag from Callaway:

1) it's new for 2010
2) it weighs in at 3lbs
3) it can carry a full set of clubs (I wouldn't)
4) it's a stand bag
5) it has tons of pockets and even a pen holder and towel holder
6) very nicely padded backpack style carry strap (you can strap it over both your shoulders)
7) construction seems very sturdy
8) comes in many color options

Overall, I can't say enough great things about this bag - it's nice and sturdy. Callaway just released this XTT feature which makes the entire bottom of your bag bend when you put it into a stand position -- this helps the bag be more sturdy when it's in a stand position.

It has 3 divisions (For me, have Woods, Irons, and Putter/Wedges)

At the end of the day, I still have my 8lb cart bag that I'll use whenever I go play at a big course but for the executive golf courses or for going to the range, I'm loving this bag right now.

I wouldn't put 14 clubs in this -- defeats the purpose of keeping things hyper-lite. I try to shoot for carrying no more than 5lbs, if I'm going to carry the bag throughout the entire golf course (that's not that many clubs)

If you don't have this bag, you're missing out.

This is one of the best buys that I have ever made. We actually end up leaving the course with more balls than we arrived with. Many golfers cannot get to the balls that are hit in the water, etc.; however, we are able to retrieve our golf balls as well as others. It works fantastic!

I like dogs that's why it's a "golden " retriever, it's actually red but works good as gold. Has a nice long reach to keep you dry but get that ball back for you.

I've been carrying pocket size ball retriever with me on my golf rounds for a long time. I've tried several different models. They all seem to brake sooner or later at the cheesy extensions.
The Callaway model seems very sturdy and hopefully will last longer.
Unfortunately, it is heavier compared to other pocket size retrievers.
I like the well designed ball grabbing mechanism as well.
I only give it four stars because of the weight. I carry my bag and walk 100% of my rounds. Every ounce counts!

Very good build but be prepared to get wet as it's tubing seems to fill with water faster than you can drain it out(filled my bag with water and my grips got wet). It's heavy build might make it last longer than a cheaper products but you pay for it with double the dollars, double the weight and it holds water. A rare phenomenon indeed but it's overbuilt! I'll buy a cheap lightweight retriever next time and pay 1/2 the price, have 1/2 the weight and keep my bag dry.

I decided to try the HEX design this season and i wanted a colored ball so that i could find my ball quicker. I chose the Pink Solaire. I am in love with the ball and it's performance. I had a longer drive right away and reached the green in 2 on most drives. BUT!!! On 4 different occasions i lost the ball in the rough, bark and leaves. My friends had to help me locate the ball through out the game, and they agreed that the color melded into the enviornment and did not help it stand out. So i am telling you to avoid the Pink and buy, buy, buy the White! You will love the ball as i do and have an easier time with it.

I found the club to be easy to hit from the fairway and light rough - distance and control are ideal. Long and straight so far. Light weight and has a nice feel.

I ordered this callaway set for my husband as a Christmas gift. The pictures he had of the clubs and bag made them look pristine. I received NOTHING that he showed in the ad. Everything was subsituted WITHOUT even asking me if that was OK. Seller said, "if its not well received, I'll make it right". I sure as heck am not sending a gift back days before Christmas so he knew he had me up a creek without a paddle. I'll let you see for yourself with the side by side what he offered and what he sent me.

I ordered the 40 pack of recycled Callaway golf balls and received the order as described; all of the balls are playable in good to excellent condition with the vast majority in excellent condition. Of the 40 balls, 21 were logo balls and only one will not be used by me (the CTU 30).

The detailed breakdown of my $20.72 purchase consists of:
18 Warbirds
9 Big Bertha Red (distance)
7 Big Bertha Diablo
2 Big Bertha Blue (spin)
1 HX Red
1 HX Hot
1 HX Blue
1 CTU 30

I work at a golf course that brought one in as a demo. I hit it and liked it but I need a stiffer shaft. I had my friend demo it and it fit his swing to a tee - pun intended. He plays to a 16, 20-30 yards longer on average and about the same accuracy as his 460 Cobra. It has to be one of the better values out at the moment. This one's a keeper, Highly recommended.

I have played with my new x20s for about 3 weeks and they are great thus far. It took me no time to get used to them after replacing my 10 to 15 year old TaylorMade LCGs. I am getting about the same distance and my ball flight is a little higher on my long irons. This is something I always wanted and I think it is due to uniflex shaft. When I read reviews, some reviews stated that uniflex gives you a higher ball flight. I did not really believe that, but it does. My old irons contained regular shafts. The shaft was one of my concerns before I purchased these irons. I requested regular shafts which the company did not send because of the great price. The regular shafts were about $55 more than the uniflex. I am enjoying my uniflex shafts and my new x20s. Kevin

Comment on Callaway X Forged Vintage Wedge by Just Anonymous

I own two of these wedges:
56 degree Sand Wedge
62 degree Lob Wedge

After one year of owning them, they've started to get that distinctive rusty look to them. For those that don't know, a vintage wedge will rust over the years and this rusting effect adds extra "grippy-ness" for when the ball makes contact with the wedge's surface.

To be prefectly frank, I'm not good enough of a player to notice any difference in my game that "rust" will make an effect but I must say that these wedges add a distinctiveness to your bag and I really don't know if I could play golf without them.

There's a few things you should look for in these wedges - you don't have to have all of these things but knowing about them can help you customize:

C-Grind -- this means that the back bottom of the wedge has been ground. Experts say that this keeps the wedge from bouncing when it gets used on grass...mine aren't C-Ground and I prefer them that way.

Vintage -- this means that they'll rust over time getting a really nice effect. The only way they won't rust is if you coat them in oil or something like that after every use. They don't come rusty when you buy them though. You have to "earn" that look :-)

McDaddy Grooves -- these are bigger deeper grooves which help give the golf ball added spin. I'm not good enough to where McDaddy Grooves make a difference but hey - you might.

Overall, these wedges are fantastic -- you can't go wrong with them and barring any anger fits, they should last you a lifetime.

For me, I have a pitching wedge that came with my x-forged clubs but I needed to add a sand wedge and a lob wedge. 56 degree pitch is pretty standard for a sand wedge and I completed it out with a lob wedge to help me get on the green for when I just miss it. Definitely think about your wedge coverage. I think 3 is about as much as I need and any more and I'd have to start leaving some of the longer clubs out like the 3 iron or my 5 wood which I like, so 3 wedges is all I can carry.

For me, vintage is the only way to go.

The Callaway Diablo 3 wood is exactly what I was looking for to round out my set. First, it's an absolutely gorgeous club (black head with deep red shaft makes it look mean). Looks aside, it feels great in my hands. The grip is excellent. I'm using the 15 degree loft with regular flex shaft version (left handed). The head has a slightly lower profile than some other woods, which enables it to really get under the ball and launch it. Very light weight, but it's substantial enough to feel the force of the impact. One of the best clubs I own.
