Ok, so I’ll admit that I’m coming off a set of 20 yr old irons. So an upgrade to most any modern set would be a huge improvement. Im 25 yrs old, play 15-20 times a season, and shoot in the low 90s.
I hit these X22s at a local golf show along with the newest PING, Taylormade, and Nike irons. Of course it’s all personal preference, but these irons were hands down the winner for me. I also read about the X18s, which can be found new for a very reasonable price. Several updates made by Callaway were enough for me to buy the newest irons for this season.
I’ve since had the irons out on the course. They hit long and straight. Very forgiving, that’s for sure. Excellent feel, weight, and play. Extremely happy with these irons given the price tag.
