I received the uPro Go for Christmas 2009 and I’m still waiting for the only 2 courses I want to be mapped. Make sure it has the courses you play before buying this unit!

I believe this one had a bad battery as it never charged properly and would work for 10 minutes…if I could get it to work at all. I finally sent it back and got a golf app for my Blackberry. I find the phone app much more usable. And, after all, how much “caddy” does one need? Well, I don’t need anything in color.
My golf buddies were wowed for the 10 minutes that it worked. It is a pretty cool gadget. The phone app works just as well for me. It works better because I can get the phone app to work. The Callaway Golf uPro is the right size and has cool graphics, but I couldn’t get it to work, had trouble turning it on and it wouldn’t take or keep a charge.

First I must admit: I have never used this device on the golf course. But I didn’t need to to decide I was returning it for the standard Callaway uPro.
This device has a nice screen and good features, but the “joystick” used for navigation is absolutely awful. It’s almost impossible to scroll through anything without accidentally selecting something. It was so frustrating during initial setup and browsing that I decided giving it to my dad (who is not tech savvy) would be a bad idea. Instead, I’ll get the slightly more expensive standard unit that has easier to use buttons.
